Private Lessons

I'm especially interested in helping folks who have clay experience refine/expand their knowledge or learn a particular skill.

Artist Statement

After graduating with a BFA in Ceramics from Northern Illinois University, I moved to Chicago to continue developing my work. While clay remains my focus, I enjoy expanding my skills in metalworking and printmaking and finding ways to incorporate them into my practice.

Across media, detailed textures and tireless repetition characterize my visual language. Thematically, I am fascinated by the precarity of our lives and decisions and frequently explore this fascination using imagery of plants, animals, and decay.

I love to teach and focus on cultivating learning spaces that encourage community and togetherness across a range of skill level, age, and background.

Credentials

I have a BFA in Ceramics and am a working artist. I'm a good resource for artists looking to hand build in porcelain, develop intricate textures, build hollow, work figuratively, work on conceptual pieces, or work in metals and clay.
