DAY PASS PROTOCOL:

  1. Please arrive at the start time of each session for orientation (12pm)
  2. Sign in at the clip board at Day Pass bulletin.
  3. There will be a studio monitor present to show you the space and answer any general questions
  4. Work on your project, keeping in mind the DOs and DONTs listed below.
  5. Once finished, please place your work on the assigned Day Pass shelf with a. Plastic draped over your piece b. Initial your pieces c. Fill out a Day Pass Slip and leave it with your work on the Day Pass shelf. LEGIBLE and consistent with the same information when you signed up. This is how we contact you when your work is ready for pick up!

**If you are a Weekend Passer, please tightly wrap your pieces on Friday, and return to them Saturday at noon to finalize your work!

  1. Staff will fire and glaze your work with clear*. No special glazing requests!*

NOTE: Pieces are unwrapped and prepped for firing after the weekend

DOs and DONTs

  1. Rubber tools ONLY on the wedging table - the plaster slab is easy to damage with tools and will ruin your work if plaster contaminates your clay
  2. No outside materials !!!
  3. Do not leave a mess.
  4. Studio Day Pass members do not have access to long term storage. This membership is for projects that can be started and finished in one session (or Friday/Saturday session if you purchase a weekend pass)
  5. Please return all CLEAN items to the class cart when you are done.
  6. If you are making small work, please build a tray to transport work. An appropriate tray is a slab with a small 1” tall flange and simple, sturdy handles. This will aid with kiln loading and insure safety of fragile work.
  7. COMPLETE THE CLEANING CHECKLIST BELOW AFTER EVERY SESSION
    1. Use the available wash buckets
